Olympic Spirit

Ya know? I am really trying to keep up with making sure you are all entertained on a regular basis and post regularly. However, I currently have a really good excuse for falling behind in my duties. It's not a permanent one, but a GOOD one.

Anyone following this guy?

What an amazing athlete!! And he is such a TEAM PLAYER.

Grandy has always been a big fan of the Olympics. I'm a big sports fan anyway, so how awesome to have it going on everywhere.

Yep, so the whole Grandy family has been a bit obsessed pre-occupied with all things Olympics this week.

We continue to struggle with Belly Watch 2008 Continues. I have to frankly tell you...I'm really getting concerned. We saw a specialist this week and have been going through some processes that don't seem to be helping. UGH!! More to follow on that...when I know more that is.

Anyway, in keeping with the Olympic spirit, I thought I would post a Blogthings quiz. Mine came out funny, but it was the question about the fight that I think did it for me. What? Grandy can't be the only one that's ever gotten in a fight. Am I???

You Are Boxing

You are assertive, strong, and downright aggressive.

You have the power to demolish your opponent...

And you have the endurance to make sure the job is finished.

You Are Gymnastics

You are agile, expressive, and precise.
You have the drive to practice until you get something perfectly right.
And you have the confidence to perform difficult moves when under pressure.

**************************
I'm agile... LOL....

You are tennis.

You are highly competitive and driven.
You're in it to win, and you will keep going until you do.
You crave fame, success, and the envy of others.

Hmm. Not sure about this, but it was fun.

Anyway, love the Olympics and absolutely adore Michael Phelps. To me, he is a model athelete.

Sorry, to hear about "Belly Watch 2008" continuing. I had to take my boy (he's 4) to a gastroenterologist to help with his constipation. The doctor put him on a laxative regimen and fortunately it's helped. I'm sending good and postive thoughts your way. Blessings!

I felt bad being a sports blogger and blogging during the Olympics, but that is when I am home to blog. Now I split the time evenly :-)

I love the Olympics. I'm one of those wackos who loved when they set it up so the winter and summer games would alternate every two years. I just love the competition and seeing so many sports that are tough to follow outside of Olympic years.

I'm certainly following the Michael Phelps story, as well as the rest of the swimming.

This Blogthings was a bust. I'm so not gymnastics!

If you're not reading it you've got to read the Olympics coverage on Dogs and Jeans. It's hysterical.

You Are Archery
You are a bit of a traditionalist. You like old fashioned things with deep traditions.
You also like to see the result of your accomplishments right in front of you.
If practice makes perfect, that's fine by you. You like to practice a skill.

Whatever!

I'm sorry that Ty is still having issues. Hoping that you find some answers for him soon...

I’m so with you on this … and practically all of my posts lately have been about the Olympics … just because that’s what’s on MY mind currently. Most are at Small Reflections in case you’d care to check out some of my nifty Photoshopped collages of Michael Phelps and others ;--)

I did this blogthing a while back and came out … wait for it … can you guess … of course you can … TENNIS!!! Any surprises?
Hugs and blessings,

With all the stuff that's going on with my life and work, thank goodness for the olympics and Phelps. Both have provided a needed respite for me.

I guess what's more impressive for me is not Phelps' physical ability but rather his mental toughness. Man, if I only have half of what he has in terms of his focus, I could've be the best karaoke singer in the world...

Soooo not into the Olympics! I couldn't answer any of those questions with any degree of integrity! What does THAT say about me?
Although, I must say, if there were a competition to see who could consume the most calories, I bet I'd beat Michael Phelps' 12,000 daily if chocolate or coffee creamer is on the menu! ;-)

I love the Olympics, especially swimming, diving and gymnastics. Watching Michael Phelps and Darrah Torres made for a very exciting Olympics!

I took the sport test and was really surprised by the answer:

You Are Fencing

You're competitive but not brutally so. You compete to make yourself better.
You find having an opponent to be challenging and rewarding.
You are fierce when you're in a competition, but you don't wish your rivals any real harm.

Mrs. F said...

I get all white-knuckled trying to watch the Olympics. It makes me nervous. I love it though! Hubs asks me if I am rooting for anyone in particular. My answer? Uh, DUH anyone with the American flag on their swim cap!

My bogthings came out like this:
You Are Tennis
You are highly competitive and driven.
You're in it to win, and you will keep going until you do.
You crave fame, success, and the envy of others.

Tina~ Why were you surprised at the results? Do you really wish your rivals harm? ;)

Mrs. F~ DUH! Is right!!! Are you really competative? I don't see that about you... ok maybe a little you 12 year old. ;)
