Rockin' Family

Tonight is the night.

Hubby is very excited.

Ty is very excited.

Grandy is loading up on caffeine very excited.

What says family bonding more than a trip to see Vince, Nicki, Tommy and Mick? Did I see a saying somewhere that says, a family that rocks together stays together? No? Well, there should be one, and there is now. Grandy has spoken.

I've never been to a rock concert with my son. I've taken him to "Country in the Park" and know that those festivals are a lot more family friendly. I will admit...I'm a little nervous. I will be on my BEST behavior (no really), and am prepared to thoroughly enjoy watching him rock out to the songs.

It was funny hearing him explain who will be there to his friends the other day,

Ty: Dude, it's going to be SO COOL! It has Motley Crue, Sixx AM, Buck Roach and Papa Cherry!!

Me: Excuse me, did you just say Pop-a-cherry?

Ty: ::giggling:: Yeah, I meant to say Buck Cherry and Papa Roach.

Me: ::LMAO::

Ty: Why Mom? What's so funny?

Me: Oh nothing...

How awesome when the most innocent comment comes out so wrong and they don't even know it. I was NOT about to explain what his statement meant. I know it will be a matter of weeks before he learns but please, let me enjoy his innocence a little longer.

Tickets? Check

Cute Outfit? Check

Extra Caffeine to get me through the long day, and even longer night? (feeling older as I type this) Make that a DOUBLE Check.

My oldest has been my concert companion since he was 16. We started with Aerosmith and have hit all the classics in between. Plus gone to every local Aerosmith concert the past 7 years :-) Have a great time!

We took the little man to American Idol and Gwen Stefani / Akon. It was VERY interesting. AI was VERY G rated..but Gwen and Akon..PG13..and I sang, "The Shit is Bananas, B a n a n a s"..really loud and the little guy thought I must have been satan's spawn for singing such a word..lol...

Have a blast! Don't forget your roach clips.. Oh yeah it's not 1984.

Have an awesome time!! I'm looking forward to being able to do that...I hope that when the boys are old enough to really get into concerts and stuff, I'll be able to still get around!! :-D (a drawback to being an 'older' mom!!) :-D

Oh...and just in case...and I'm not saying that you will need them, but....ear plugs....you might want to just throw a pair in your bag...you know...just in case! :-D

That is so cool. I took the boys to see the B52's last year. This solidified their opinion of mom being crazy, because Mom and best friend sang and danced to EVERY song!
