Do you forgive me??

Dear Doctor:
I write you this letter as somewhat of a confession. You see, when you allowed me to return to work early, I had made promises that I would not overextend myself, work from home a bit more, and generally take care of myself.

I do think you should know that I've made many strides in my goals.

I would relax by playing with my puppy:

Remembered to slow down and appreciate some simple, beautiful things:

I even honed some of my sarcastic sense of humor skills:

I picked up a couple new hobbies:

**psst** This is a whole new meaning to "on-tap"

I "HEART" BLOGGING

I ended 2007 by doing everything you asked. I even spent the holiday in Mexico. I returned to the office relaxed, rejuvinated and refreshed.

CHRISTMAS @ SENOR FROGS

Then...the new year set in. Doc, I just don't know what to tell ya!! I feel my desk is starting to spiral out of control, I put in 14 hour days all week, have over 200 emails in my inbox that have to be "attached", and worst of all I haven't had a chance to BLOG!!

W...T...F???

I didn't really make any resolutions, other than to keep my momentum.

Have I failed you Doctor??? NO!! Just a moment of temporary insanity. I hope to return to my regularly scheduled insanity by next week.

Well, call in the little men in the big white coats. And alright, I apparently need to take a couple valum and write more in the morning, but I'm going to try and catch-up on sleep, my family and with BLOGGING this weekend. In that order.

Thanks for sticking with me!!!

Grandy

Aw, my poor blogging bud! Get all the sleep you need, and spend all the time you want with your family - you deserve it!

It's great that you put blogging last. Although it's fun, it isn't most important. Your health and your family are!

If you're out of things to say *giggles* you can participate in the meme I'm tagging you for.

Find out more here:

I Am Writer, Hear Me Roar!

Take care of yourself. :-)

Smiles,
Michele

Wow ... can I ever relate!!! If I wasn't (weren't?) happily retired, I don't know how I'd manage. The last few days I've had between 75-100 blogging related emails (more than 500 in my official email box totally ignored for weeks now) and I've been trying to visit folks who participate in Wordless Wednesday, T-13, and Haiku Friday AND keep up with my own blog posting (not to mention being tagged yet again by Mama Zen). LOL

I'm EXHAUSTED, but still having fun (though my butt is sore, my back tired, and Molly miffed.) Do you think I might be addicted already??? I suggest you take as much time as you need ... and set a good example that I can follow in the days, weeks, and months ahead. (no pressure here though)

Congratulations on Michele's good news! Maybe it will lift your spirits and give you added energy?
Hugs and blessings,

Hey Mary,

Now, Now, Now, I know you feel overwhelmed, it is just part of you. Take a sip of your almerretto sour(sp), get your punching bag out and start hitting. You need to take out your aggressions on something.
Trust me, I know you. You have been making promises all week, and not following through. Stop making promises that you cant keep, you will feel better. We all understand how busy you are, and if you keep saying you will get to it soon, you will feel worse. Just be honest, and say I dont have the time right now. Start scheduling in time of priority, including family and rest. You will feel better.

Cara

Mary,Hang in there kiddo,at least my inbox does not get that full.I guess it is because my circle of friends are limited and I'm just learning how to blog and so I donot have that many blogging friends.

Good Evening Grandy,
Awwww you poor thing you. Doing exactly what the Doctor said and he still wants to complain? LOL. You did the right thing by putting Family first and sleeping and then blogging. It's hard to step away from it sometimes, but I know you can do it. Fix you a drink, relax, and enjoy your Family. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Start taking it easy. I suggest a mango margarita on Sunday evening. It will get your week off on just the right note.

You are totally FUN to stick with honey! This blogging is really time consuming isn't it? Take all the time you need - we'll be here when you get back. Sounds like you've had a pretty good year though... gotta love that!

Hey Grandy,

First, your blog is looking beautiful! I would like to redo mine, but it would take too much time away from my social butterfly-ing. :-) And I can't have that.

Take a rest. Take it easy, enjoy your family and your cute doggie, and you'll be as good as new in no time! I bet the doctor would agree.

well if you inbox gets so full due to work, look what you can look forward to retirement.
Not that I had full inboxes at work,as a corrections officer we did not use computers per say,if you worked in the booking desk and certain other ares of the sherriff's dept you delt with computers if not you delt with human being the seemed to be going thru the 'terible two' all their life. And we will get around to talking about the inmates later!Mike Golch

Mike~ I'm quite certain I'll get to learn more about the inmates from your blog. ;)
