The Beauty of Mexico through the Camera

These aren't necessarily in chronological order, but I wanted to post some of the beauty we found in Mexico. I hope I was able to do it some justice through the lens of my new camera.

This is the first night at the Resort. I was sitting by the pool, watching Tyler swim, and playing with my new camera. I'm no photo expert...but I kinda liked how this one turned out.

This one was a few moments later...I was playing with the different settings on the camera. I'm completely a novice at this, but this is how we learn...right??

This one was taken near the film "Night of the Iguana" was filmed. On the tour, they stopped us at all these little places to spend our money. I mostly walked around and looked at the beauty that surrounded me.

This is a picture of the oldest church in Puerto Vallarta. It started construction in the 40's and finished in the 80's. It's beautiful inside and out.
See what I mean???

This picture was taken of the same church, but a few days later, and from the water. It had rained the night before, and was still relatively early in the morning.

While we were out on the ship, during one of our excursions, we came across a large school of dolphins, who had fun riding in the waves we made when we made a circle with the boat. There was about 100 of them and they were beautiful!!

And what kind of Christmas in the center of Puerto Vallarta would it be without a Santa Claus??

Spending Christmas day in town with the locals was a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful night, they truly celebrated the holiday. Here is a picture of the landscape from the port, overlooking where we were staying.

I'm still learning how to transfer the photos, but I wanted to share some of the beauty we saw. I'll post the "funny" pictures another day.

Good Morning Grandy,
Wow, what some beautiful pictures you have here. I really love the one of the Santa made from the sand. I think it is so neat how people do all that sculpturing in the sand. They have alot of talent to do that. I think you are doing good with your camera. "THANK YOU" for sharing your trip with us. I really loved seeing the pictures. The old Church is just breathtaking. I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures. Take care my friend and have a great Sunday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Dee~ I didn't want to, let me tell you. Is there such a thing as too much guacamole?

Karen~ I thought of you when I posted about the church. I have many more to share. ;)

Michele~ Yep, I was feeling so creative with the pics that this morning I felt inspired to make a new banner, change things up a bit, and have some fun. Glad you like!!

Grandy - I love what you've done with the place, uh blog. Guess your vacation was restful enough for some redecorating on your return, eh? Wonderful photos!!! You must be a "quick study" or the camera is "fool-proof" (no, I'm not calling you names ... though sending those men in white coats to my door was uncalled for). LOL
Happy New Year's Eve!
Hugs and blessings,

Kelly & Sheila~ In comparison to the pics I've seen from you both, these are nothing.

Mike~ Thanks for stopping by! Glad you like the pics. Sorry I don't have any of CA right now, but I will get some.

Storyteller~ Silly...those men found their way to you on their own. ;)

These are lovely photos, esp. that church exterior. Keep snapping away-- you'll learn more and more the more photos you take!

Hiya :) I'm trying to catch up on my blog reading!

So, since no one else has commented on this, it's clearly "just me" but I see a man and a woman's face in the rocks from the "Night of the Iguana" location.
