Driving along the road...
Day Dreaming Minding your own business...
Driving the speed limit...kinda...
And then...
A family of baby birds is crossing the black river of death.
Sure, because that's what you would expect in the mountains. A family of baby crows walking in the dang road.
Birds can be dumb and hang out in the road until the last minute. Then just as you get to them, the dang things fly away. They do it all the time, and scare me sometimes.
Driving at 55 (really, that's the speed limit there) you don't have much reaction time to get out of the way. I didn't even realize what they were at first.
GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!
FLY DANGIT!!
They're crossed over both lanes of my direction.
Crap!!

Speed Bumps!!

yuck
I've always wondered if that might happen some day.
Eww...the feathery horror of a mental image. (snort...hehe...speedbumps)
oh LOL!
Yikes!!!! This post gave me total deja vu. So sorry this happened. I still wince every time I drive on the freeway in the spot a squirrel committed suicide under my car. :(
I guess you can call them bird brained...
Crows and ravens are arrogant birds.
Hahahahahahaha. I'm sorry all I can do is laugh. You are so funny!
Oh my. Shudder.
yikes!! Oh no.
Bless their souls. :P

Mrs. F~ Glad to make you laugh, my bloggy bud. :)
Trees~ The shudder comes when I go run my car through the car wash and make sure I wash the undercarriage.
ECL~ Yes, bless them indeed. Good to see ya!!
survival of the ....
its a shame but its life.
A millisecond of "aw, aren't they cute?" can turn into months of pain.
I've seen people slam on the brakes and try to swerve and wreck destroying property, their car, the guardrail, their own body
its best not to swerve.
Oh man, this is SUCH bad karma -- killing crows. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Bad, bad karma. You'd better do one or two extraordinarily kind things quickly to counteract the bad, bad crow-killing karma. Go now.
A goose crossed the path of my little Plymouth Duster one morning. Looked like a pillow fight that the goose lost and the Duster won...
Anon~ Yep...best not to. I have handled too many claims where people have.
XUP ~ Still trying to make up for it...STILL.
Cindy~ Ouch!
