Fifty is NIFTY

Last night I learned something about hubby...he's getting jealous of my new hobby. He says that during NaBlo, he tried to spend some time with me, but I was at my computer blogging (said with such contempt that it made me giggle). HUH!!!

After the week I had, last night I thought it would be nice to sit next to Hubby and just unwind. After all, it was the first night all week I had been home before midnight, if at home at all. I didn't care what was on the TV, I just wanted to exist peacefully, with him next to me. I had Ty leaning on my other side...total bliss. THIS is what family is...being together.

When Ty went to bed, Hubby and I were talking and he said we hadn't just sat like that in "SO LONG...MONTHS" he said. "Not since before I started blogging." I carefully reminded him I only started blogging in October, and November was a "special month" (but not like little yellow school bus special or anything), but he was having none of my excuses. (Alright...I really hadn't thought about how much time I spend on the computer, or how he felt about it.) I told him that if I had a laptop, I could sit next to him AND blog! How cool would that be?? Oh yea, the rolling of the eyes marathon shortly followed. **He Loves me...he loves me NOT... :)

So as I logged in today, to try and catch up on some other blogs, I realized this post was #50. That may not seem like such a huge milestone, but I gotta tell you...it's neat. Amy Derby has reminded me that milestones should be celebrated. I like her 100 Posts and Articles I've Dubbed Worthy of a Little Link Love post she did for her 100th post. Maybe I'll have to come up with something like that when I hit 100.

Until then...I'll be happy with a subdued "YEAH ME!" for now.

How many posts do you have? Do I have far to catch up?? Should I bother??

Good Afternoon Grandy,
"CONGRATULATIONS" on your 50th post. You are not far behind me anyway. Today was my 45th post. I started in September, but didn't really get going good until October. Isn't it nice to sit and cuddle with our hubby's? Me and my hubby had some alone time Friday night and we really enjoyed it. If hubby is home he usually sits in his recliner and plays his guitar or watches t.v. He is a truck driver and is gone alot. So, when he gets home, he wants to relax and take it easy. I don't have a laptop, but my desktop is real close to his recliner. At least I can turn my head and just look at him. LOL. Well, take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Aw, sorry about the blogger bickering ;'(

Hmm... I've passed 100 posts so far, but you're trailing close behind me! Keep it up, Grandy ;-)

Smiles,
Michele

What blogger bickering? I must have missed something, somewhere.

Grandy, I have no idea how many posts I have. I started in August. Have to count them now. I'm sure Michele has me beat since she's been on longer and is more ambitious than I am. In fact, I'm thinking of taking a hiatus from blogging, and just doing an occassional post, if that. Time to take a break, me thinks.

What blogger bickering????

I'm somewhere above 400 posts in two years on the main blog. If not for the log in issues that the Beta edition had, I'd probably have well over 500 posts now.

Laptops are great. I can sit in the living room and blog while Ed watches tv. He forgets that I don't really watch and says "did you see that?" an awful lot, but hey, we're in the same room.

Congrats on the milestone!

Way to go Grandy! Lest your hubby give you any more grief, remind him you COULD have spent more time online. I started about the same time YOU did and have published about 60 post on each of my 2 Blogs for a total of 120 (Ohmygosh ... What was I thinking?) but I'm happily retired with family & friends "on the road" in their RVs. The only one who's frustrated with me is my Labrador pup, Molly. However no matter how much time I spend playing with her ... it's never enough. Thanks for this wonderful link, though I'm not sure how many of these I'll find time to read with friends returning home tomorrow.

Grandy,

Congratulations on your 50th post! You are way ahead of me and I got started in September. I'm the molasses in January of the blogging world. LOL

I think your idea of a laptop is a very logical solution to the problem. Just think, if your husband starts blogging (or discovers ebay, as mine has), you can sit in the same room, in companionable blogging!

Thanks for visiting my blog. We deer/squid need to stick together! LOL

Mrs. G~ I'm in as long as you are!! I have to blog just to get to read yours!!

Storyteller~ WOW...120 blogs? When do you sleep?? RV'g is very cool.

Kelly~ Thanks girl!! You ROCK!!

Bipolar~ (Mind if I call you that?) I will...even if sometimes I have to do it secretly.

Linda~ Hubby would never blog, he doesn't even read mine. I think if he blogged our spell checker would blow up.

Michele~ I'm trying, my friend! You are sweet to check in on me. Thanks for missing me.

Linda~ Yep, deer/squid, I bet we could make a superhero out of that.
