Full ON False Advertising

Dear President of PUTZ Company,

I write you this letter to make you aware of a gross unjustice.

The Grandy family uses your product religiously. The sandwich is the staple food here in the Grandy household. My guys will make a turkey sandwich instead of reaching for cookies or chips.

What I'm trying to say is...we buy your product because we LIKE it. You don't need to try to come up with crafty ways to sell your product. No need to wonder to yourself, "Gee...What will make people want to buy us more than the other guy?"

Grandy promises that it is not YOUR LID!

Really Mr. Sales & Marketing Guy? How many people make their comparisons based on THE LID?

Normally I wouldn't rant about such an advertising technique.

HOWEVER...(and you knew there was a BIG BUT here)...

Your LID LIES!!!

When you go out of your way to feature your "NEW Easy to Open Cap!", perhaps you should consider making sure the lid is indeed easy to OPEN!!

Grandy tries and tries, gets her 13 year old son to try, and ultimately has to have Hubby open the jar. If he's not home, we have a special strap thingy that opens jars that is really a pain to use, but it is STILL needed.

All I can say is...Your mustard or ketchup competitor never tried to make their lids lie like that.

Wait, maybe they did try the "NO MESS CAP!" BASTARDS!!!
You all SUCK!! Go back to what you did before with the lid so Grandy can make a dang sandwich by herself again, PLEASE!!

Thank You!

~ Grandy

Somehow, "easy open" seems to mean that I have to get a knife, a crow bar and a corkscrew. Not necessarily in that order. And frankly, I usually just grab the corkscrew. Then I forget about opening anything else.

It's all a conspiracy. They "improve" something. Then you have to buy the "thing" to help you with the "improvement". That doesn't work, so you have to buy the new wonder pill for your stress issues. Then you wind up having a heart attack because of side effects from the pill.
Just eat the sandwich dry, I tell ya! And borrow Mother's corkscrew. That solves everything.

There is no such thing anymore as an easy open lid. None. Anywhere. And it has nothing to do with my damned arthritis. It is all their fault. All.

And childproof? Only a child can open those. Trust me.

Five wrist surgeries here. I've learned that the if the lid says "Easy Open", it was obviously printed by the marketing department to screw with people like me.

As a matter of principle, I refuse to buy anything that says 'easy open', because it most definitely is not.

Email time? With links?

I say, make the sandwich with cheese. Screw the company that makes the aforementioned condiment!

I'm over the six layers of protection between me and my sour cream or milk. Enough already.

But it looks so easy according to their instructions. I'm not to sure there are many lids like that over here in the UK, but i wouldn't buy them lol

Most of the time, new and improved ?, means that it will probably be harder and more difficult.

You tell 'em!! I have a problem with the painkillers for arthritis sufferers. We can't even open those bottles, FYI.

Isn't that always the case? The same marketing guy must be behind every "easy open" label on the shelves.
