How Grandy Spends Her Daze

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the warmth and well wishes I've received lately from all you readers during this surgery and recovery.

I know I have been remiss in not posting much since I've been home, and I'm sorry. I have been having a heck of a time with the pain medication, and although I have peaked in on some of your blogs, I've even been afraid to comment in fear of sounding like an idiot.

So I'm currently home all day, still mushing my food, and not able to really go anywhere. Today's big adventure outing was going to Ty's school for parent teacher conferences.

While I struggle with focus, I thought I'd share what I'm doing with my time.

Sudoku - Usually I'm pretty good for the hard level, but I find that the easy is all I can handle right now. And when I finish one...I feel a little ok.

WordScram - This is kind of a fun puzzle game that gives you a bunch of letters and you try to make as many words as you can out of them. The bigger the words, the higher points you get. Right now, Grandy is lucky if she comes up with anything more than 4-letter words without adding an "s". And no, not those 4-letter words people. I don't swear as much in slow motion.

Naps - I try to as much as possible.

Tivo - I love my Tivo people because daytime television is CRAP! I don't do talk shows, I don't do soap operas, and you can only watch the news channels so much with political stuff and not slit your throat go stir crazy. So, it's the beginning of the TV season and so many programs are kicking off. Tivo Tivo Tivo and I can watch them in between naps.

That's about it.

Doesn't it sound exciting??

Wishing you were me yet?? I know you are.

No worries...You will get the Grandy you know and love back soon.

Wow! I'm first to respond. That's cool. I love making words out of bigger words. I do it when I'm bored, waiting for an appointment or something along those lines. Glad to hear you're doing ok. Hope you're up and around and back to your usual self in no time.

It sounds enticing, all those puzzles and naps. Minus the surgery, of course! Hope your recovery keeps speeding along.

Oh man, I totally forgot about Wordscram! I played that for hours daily while I was on bedrest for 5 MONTHS!
Tivo? Yes, I totally wish we could hang. I hate daytime TV as well.

Hope solids are in the near future.

One day of it yes, but after that . . .

I hope you're up and about and feeling perkier soon!

Hey Grandy, you can sound like you, no matter how you sound, any time the urge strikes on my blog! If I don't understand ya, I'll ask, ok?

You're doing good girl! Keep getting better!!

I love love love sudoku puzzles, but I can really only do the easy ones even when I am un-medicated, so you are pretty much a super-star in my book!!!!

Oh girl I'm a slacker, I didn't realize you were having surgery! I hope your recovery is going quickly and painlessly! AND enjoy the extra naps while you can. :-)

I feel terribly ignorant, but I didn't know you had surgery. Glad you're doing better. Those food pictures below, look like...well, I'd better not say what. I'm not much into computer games. Well, I'm usually out and about in the daytime, either roaming around in the woods, or having lunch and shopping with friends.

Keep on getting better, lady!

Hugs and prayers too,

Renie

Hi there, nice to meet you, too. I'll poke around more over the weekend, I'm sure. Hope you are feeling better!

You are so funny, even with the drugs! It must be hard to swear in slow motion, that must be why you don't do it much.

Have a restful weekend and get stronger.

I don't want to have a surgery or anything but I'll take a day in bed w/ the remote control and lots of naps.. that would be fun.

Renie~ No worries lovely lady. How could you have known. I only announced it a couple days beforehand. ;)

Fancy~ Thanks so much for stopping by!! Hope to see ya around again.

Vixen~ You are right...swearing slow motion bites. It takes on a whole new meaning when you try to say sh!t and it sounds like sheets.

MP~ Come on over...I'll write you a free pass for the day (if you bring over Rockband). ;)

Dani~ Thanks so much for stopping by and for having an appreciation for my stupidity. :)

I think that someone sent me a link to that Word Scram on Facebook. I've not tried it yet. I've NEVER played Sudoku, believe it or not.

I hope you feel better very soon. Thanks for stopping by my place!

It's good to be resting and allowing yourself to recover ... enjoying these 'diversions' as you do ;--)
