Do you blog for frequency or quality?
Ok, that's a sucky way to ask the question. Of course we post on our blog hoping to engage our readers, to relate to them, and write something that will keep them coming back. (Too cheesy?)
Well, Grandy is obsessed with finding topics she can share with you to keep her audience entertained. I can't tell you how many ideas have been scrapped because maybe I thought it was funny at the time and when looking at it... the idea blew chunks.
You may not know this, and if not I'm truly sorry, but Grandy tries not to force her readers to read crap. Really... I do. I know you can all tell if I've forced a post and "phoned it in", but please know I do understand and I'M SORRY!!
Does your blog have a niche? What sort of theme do you cater to?
Grandy is kind of all across the map (ya think?) and so I wonder if I'm maybe just speaking to similar nutcases like me? How many of those are out there anyway?
Well, I just want you to know that Grandy is working on something BIG. It's bigger than big, and I hope to have it launched by July.
I ask you all to share with me your thoughts on what you like to see in particular blogs. Do you have any words of wisdom for what NOT to do? That's just as helpful, you know, if not more.
Grandy needs all the help she can get for this uber secretive project. I'm not going to tell until it's time, but I thought now would be an EXCELLENT time for me to pick your brains, while of course reminding you all to click my button over there on the right. Did you??
Alright, I'm done for now (just with the reminding you to click...which you better do) but I encourage all you blogging pros out there to show this challenged girl what comes next. In the meantime...anyone got a spare copy of this??

Hiya Grandy!
I'm not sure anything coming from me would count as "pro" or "words of wisdom" by any means. But I will share with you this: As soon as I put up a post about something "controversial" everyone went nuts! The funny thing is, I don't think I'm particularly controversial by nature...
hmmmm.... you need 'feats'. hahaha......
I blog about everything under the sun, no particular niche. And sex, horror, murder do attract... :D
Lol, as always, you make me laugh, Grandy! :)
As Theresa said, controversial always works. But, you have to have the right kind of blog for it....can't do it on mine, more's the pity. :(
If I had to say, and my opinion is only my own, and not expert by any means, I would say that I most like reading humor blogs (yours is one, obviously), and blogs that cause me to think/react, such as So Now What? and Sensory Overload.
I rarely look at blogs in my own genre, primarily because I get enough of the topic in blogging about it.
Secret? I'm dying of curiosity! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve! ;-)
I blog about the writing life, with an inspirational/encouraging "twist", I guess you could say...
No pro here, but I'm rootin' for ya!
Either way, no matter what you blog about, you accumulate huge crowds! ;-)
*smiles*
Michele
Personally, I like posts I can relate to. Every day life stories, the funny, the sad, the real. I'm not big into politics or anything super controversial. I read blogs for entertainment mostly and to think...but not to get all fired up about issues. That's just my humble opinion. :-)
Grandy,
I can't wait for July - I am intrigued!
I guess I mostly blog about what is going on in my world. I like to do memes every so often. Once in a while I write something controversial. I don't really have a niche.
I like reading blogs on a wide variety of subjects. Your blog makes me laugh. I enjoy reading your take on life. I enjoy nature blogs, controversial blogs - well I guess I'm no help.
I look forward to July!
Tina
I just write about what's on my mind. I do post every day--I like to think I'm managing quality and quantity, but I could be deluding myself.
I got into this in order to write every day, but it sure has evolved from that.
It really depends on the month. For the entire month of may I basically had to write almost every post on my group blog. Quality suffered for that. I am just as busy as my fellow bloggers. Anyways, I am excited to see what you come up with.
Honestly my writing style is evolving so I am sure some of my stuff seems like crap but if it is important to me then I can write passionately about it.
I aim to write sarcastic, humorous posts about observations and situations in my life with a touch of bitterness, hope and anything else I am feeling at the time.
Grandy,I bloge for the shere enjoyment of it,sometimes it silly with a lot of videos sometimes filled with rants, sometimes just plain old serious stuff.
now I haev a lot of fun keeping three serious blogs (Rambling Stuff and Rambling Stuff the awards addition and the Newest one over on wordpress) going that there is the awards eddition of rambling stuff as well.Since you allow open end ID's I'm logging in one my other site not blogger.Just click on my name and by a Mujic carpet ride you will be taken to my new site! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I can't wait to see what's coming!
I shoot for quality and quantity (just for the challenge) but really try to err on the side of quality...some days work, some days not.
Try as I might I can't put myself in a category. Just when I feel like a humor blogger, I start blogging sentimental.
Hi there! I tend to blog mostly about frugality and personal finance, with the occasional off-topic post thrown in.
Sometimes, I have a hard time coming up with something to write about. Or, I just don't have time.
For days like those, I just don't update my blog. Or maybe, I'll do a quick link roundup.
I endeavor to blog with frequency and with quality content. While I want to blog anything under the son, my blog usually covers about parenting...
I can't wait for this "project" you're working on...
Dying to know more about the BIG project!!!
you have my curiosity peeked!
I often dream my blogs or else I am inspired by an occurrence of the day. But then again, my blog is a niche.
Keep being you, that is what we all come here for.
