This car was Grandy.

It was cute...It was rounded...and it sometimes went topless (which is a different story all together).

Fortunately, this car did what it was supposed to do when it was wrecked. It kept Grandy's injuries to a minimum. Unfortunately, the Grandy SLVRBG did not survive.

There is so much more that upsets me about this wreck, that I can't begin to explain. It's not a materialistic thing, but rather that it is just one.more.thing. In the grand scheme of things however, and considering what so many other people are facing in their lives, it could be worse.

Now Grandy has to find a new car. We're not happy about it...and we're NOT going "new" new...but we are happy that the Grandy boys don't have to find a new ME.

Glad you're OK, but sorry about the car!

while my heart does hurt something awful thinking about that beautiful bug not surviving the happy my heart is that YOU did survive. and within YOUR heart that bug will always matter the ones that come after her (mine was a '67....who wished she could have gone topless!!).

Oh my gosh Grandy! I just popped in after a couple of years absence from the bloggy-sphere, and here I read that you've narrowly missed being absent yourself - permanently! (I used to be straightupandslightlydirty) I sure am glad you're ok! Sorry about your car though.
